Avitae Caffeinated Water Expands Distribution to Rite Aid Stores in New York City

CLEVELAND — Avitae USA, LLC, the leader in the caffeinated water category, is expanding distribution to Rite Aid locations in New York City. The retailer now carries Avitae’s carbonated caffeine water, “Sparkling Avitae,” in three natural fruit flavors – Black Cherry, Berry Kiwi and Mandarin Passion Fruit.

Sparkling Avitae is a healthy and hydrating way to get an energy boost. Produced with purified carbonated water, the caffeinated water has zero calories, sugars or artificial ingredients. It contains natural caffeine derived from green coffee beans and has the caffeine equivalency of one cup of coffee (90 milligrams).

“Avitae is perfect for those looking for a healthier alternative to the sugary sodas, energy drinks or afternoon cup of coffee that they often turn to for an extra boost of energy,” said Norman E. Snyder, president and chief executive officer of Avitae. “With this new distribution in Rite Aid, we’re excited to be able to offer busy, on-the-go consumers in New York City a zero-calorie, zero-sugar beverage option that gives them the instant-go they need to power through their day.”

Sparkling Avitae is the only caffeinated water brand to be carried by Rite Aid. It retails for $1.79 per 16.9-fluid-ounce (500-milliliter) bottle and is distributed by Dora’s Naturals. To encourage consumer trial, 22 Rite Aid locations in the metro New York area will offer a temporary two for $3 price reduction on Sparkling Avitae during the month of September.

In addition to the products offered at Rite Aid, Sparkling Avitae is available in an unflavored version and one additional fruit flavor – Raspberry Lime. Avitae also offers four non-carbonated, natural fruit-flavored caffeine waters – Blackberry, Tangerine, Pomegranate Acai and Strawberry Guava – and three unflavored caffeine waters that vary in caffeine level.

Avitae recently introduced a line of extended-release energy drinks, “AvitaeXR,” that features patented bead-based technology that controls the release rate of caffeine to give consumers up to four hours of energy without the crash.
